For all eligible Minnesotans, the Minnesota Department of Human Services has introduced a new housing program called Housing Stabilization Services. The service is meant to provide people with disabilities with the person-centered support they need to succeed in their housing pursuits, whether that means relocating across the street, across the state, or even seeking resources to help prevent homelessness.

The following requirements must be fulfilled, per the Department of Human Services:
The ability to qualify for Medical Assistance (MA).
– Be at least 18 years.
– Have a documented disability or chronic illness.

No. Housing stabilization services are available to people with disabilities who are eligible for Medical Assistance (MA) and meet other eligibility criteria.

Three distinct housing stabilization services are available: – Housing consultancy assists you in making housing plans based on your needs and preferences.
Housing Transition assists you in preparing for, locating, and relocating to your own home in the neighborhood.
Supports and services to assist you maintain your housing in the community are covered by housing sustaining.
